MRSI has been performing eligibility services since 1990.  We have highly trained staff with extensive experience in Medicaid eligibility.  Our staff performs these services both in the hospital setting and in the field.  Some of our staff function as both financial counselors and as eligibility specialists at client sites.  They work closely with hospital personnel, federal and county agencies, and patients and their families on a daily basis.  Our other specialists perform this same function in our corporate offices and out in the community.

MRSI uses a sophisticated, yet user-friendly proprietary electronic screening tool to assess the sponsorship opportunities for uninsured patients.  This tool allows us to quickly identify the appropriate federal, state or local program that will secure sponsorships.  We also provide a low dollar eligibility screening program that can offer tremendous future benefit to you and patients who utilize your facilities on a frequent basis.

MRSI provides the necessary investigation, fieldwork, and administrative services to assist your patients with potential eligibility in qualifying for Medical Assistance benefits under Medicaid and other assistance programs.

Upon referral MRSI will:

• Screen patients for eligibility for all applicable assistance programs
• Explain the process to the patients and address any questions or concerns
• Assist the patients with the complete application process for Medicaid and/or other programs including helping patients obtain all required documents and information
• Attend scheduled appointments with the counties or any other agencies on behalf of the patients
• Pursue eligibility up to and including appeals and hearings.

MRSI has developed special protocols to serve diverse patient populations such as pediatrics, Medicare recipients, alien emergency assistance, obstetrics and mental health.  MRSI works closely with you to provide the best solutions for your uninsured or underinsured patients.

Our Clients have full access to real time financial and performance reports through MRSI’s secure intranet site.
